Cueva del Mirador
At the southern end of the Sierra de Atapuerca. This cave, like El Portalón, was occupied from the Neolithic onwards by sedentary groups with an agriculture and livestock-based economy. It was also used as a burial site.
La Paredeja
A cave exposed during quarrying work at a location with the same name in the Ibeas de Juarros municipality. Evidence, pending definitive dating, suggests that it was used when Neanderthals inhabited these hills.
